Anneliese trained as a scientist before obtaining a Masters in Innovation, Technology and Law, and qualifying as solicitor in England. Before EDF, Anneliese gained extensive experience in top-tier law firms working with the public sector, NGOs and regulators, whilst studying energy transition pathways as part of her postgraduate studies in climate change. Responsible for developing the charity's clean energy and air quality strategy across the UK and Europe, Anneliese focuses on policy interventions targeted at accelerating grid optimisation and electric vehicle transition. She heads up EDF’s carbon intensity partnership with National Grid and WWF, using innovation to empower citizens and businesses to take action to reduce their carbon footprint. A specialist in interdisciplinary collaboration, Anneliese leads initiatives that offer a platform for new voices in the energy sector. These projects seek to influence policies and legislation through broad stakeholder engagement, promoting an integrated approach to tackling climate change and air quality.
